Rollbeskrivning: Assignment Description Husqvarna Wheeled is expanding and we are now recruiting a Senior Software Specialist with experience in PMSM/BLDC motor controller development for large ride-on lawnmower platforms or off road vehicle platforms. We want you to take part in our electrification journey for ride-on products with the aim of reducing carbon dioxide emissions, increasing circular use and making customers happy. In Husqvarna language, we call it Sustainovate. Wheeled develops medium and large advanced Ride-on lawnmowers that contain Hybrid solutions, full electric and petrol/diesel solutions for professional Ride-on and Residential Ride-on products. Wheeled will develop a completely new electric platform that will take our professional Ride-on products into the 2030 century. A fully electric, all-day-long working product for demanding tasks, both autonomous, remote controlled and manually operated. Tasks We are now looking for an additional team member who want to join our journey with advanced platform development. You will have a key role and the opportunity to work in a hands on department were we decide how we want to develop our products and functionality. The system will include wireless connected, Remote controlled, Autonomous functions and much more. The main focus is all electric machines. You will be involved in the product development from start-up to mass production. You will have focus on embedded software. The motor controller software use a light weight operating system without any file system support running on a CPU. All embedded software is written in C, with the addition of a few assembler routines meaning extensive experience writing code in C is a requirement for the software role. The Wheeled department has over 50 employees who work with product development, both electric and mechanics. You will be part of a team with 16 colleagues where you will have the opportunity to get an overview and follow entire processes with short decision path. Required skills Prior experience of developing this type of embedded code is a requirement for this software focused role. A university education is expected, but long experience and interest for this type of development can replace this requirement, as long as basic math knowledge is present. Abstract and analytical thinking is needed as well as being somewhat organized during the development. At the same time rapid prototyping are needed when bugs/faults are discovered late in the projects. The deliveries will be kind of fixed in both time and contents, the testing period for our products is during the summer and products are released to production during the winter, so the agile principle of just delivering what is available is not really applicable. This role is both theoretical and analytical as well as being practical. Both the ability to perform measurements on electronics and trouble shoot problems discovered during the product tests are needed, this usually include driving the product while performing measurements and motor measurements in the dyno rig. Being curious about products and learning how they works is a merit for these positions as this will provide an understanding of the implicit requirements on the motor controllers. Standard tools and software are not always available for the trouble shooting, so the ability to develop PC software, preferably in C#, is a merit. There are product safety aspects/requirements involved in this role, both from relevant standards as well as Husqvarna internal requirements, that has to be balanced against the product functionality. The safety aspects force the development to be requirement driven with architecture documentation and corresponding tests on many levels. The ability to write documents in English is somewhere between a merit and a requirement for this position. You should be able to communicate without problems in English and preferably Swedish. Location: Huskvarna, with the possibility of a hybrid setup where at least 60% is spent at the office. Ansökan Tror du att du är Techster Solutions nästa stjärna?
