The frontend is optimized for multi-device web solutions and the tech stack consists of HTML5, CSS3/4, and Javascript with React. For client-side state management, we make use of Redux. On the server side, the business logic is proprietary developed Java code together with open-source frameworks and external integration modules. The database is a MySQL cluster with distributed and dedicated report servers and data warehouse. Responsibilities: We are looking for a Java developer to help us build the best gambling site on the Internet. You will work with all parts of the system and all stages of the development process in a team-oriented environment. This includes integrations with external systems, the development of internal components and subsystems, and potentially also frontend development for mobile and desktop devices. You as a developer will work closely together with the business side of the organization to develop and implement new features. You will be working with modern technologies such as Java, Kafka, Docker, MongoDB, MySQL, React, Springboot, deployed as a Debian package, or in Kubernetes. The role also involves reading code written over 15 years, by around 60 developers, and finding manageable paths to modernize it in risk-adverse increments. About you: Deep experience in using Java. You understand that reading code is more difficult than writing code. You should have about 6+ years of previous work experience. Experience with web application/service development. SQL Knowledge. You know how to get legacy code under test. You need to be curious and willing to discuss and exchange knowledge with team members. You need to be a communicative member of an agile delivery team consisting of Devs, QAs and PO. It would be advantageous if you have experience with some of the other technologies that we use; Tomcat, Maven, Spring, MongoDB, Guava, Guice, MySQL, Nginx, Linux, Jenkins, and GIT, docker, Kubernetes, gcloud.
