RESPONSIBILITIES: As an intern we don't expect you to be productive straight away. Learning the tools and workflows will take time. The most important thing is for you to learn, ask questions and be curious. Once you are ready to take on production tasks, your lead, manager and mentors will guide and assist you along the way. * You will become a part of the Game Design team, learning the workflows used at DICE and how to use said workflows in a production environment. * Learn how to implement weapons, vehicles or soldier related features using the Frostbite Engine and other EA tools. * You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team and learn about how other disciplines work as you work together on delivering an excellent experience. QUALIFICATIONS: * You are studying at a university/vocational school that has a planned internship period (not a graduate). * You are available to commence a full-time, 6-month placement in January 2025. * You are located and eligible to work in Stockholm without the need for visa/relocation support DESIRED SKILLS: * Proficiency or experience working with game engines * Passion for the Battlefield franchise or first-person shooter games. * Solid documentation skills. * Verbal and written communication skills in English. RESPONSIBILITIES * Create lighting for our environments, both interiors and exteriors. * Set up image effects processes such as bloom, ambient occlusion, vignetting and color grading. * Set up the technical requirements for the lighting in your environments and manage related performance. * Work with Leads and Art Directors to establish visual targets. * Seek feedback on your own work and provide feedback to other lighters. QUALIFICATIONS: * You have great artistic abilities and an excellent eye for interpreting reference and concept art. * You understand how environments work in real-life and have an expert grasp of technical aspects. * You are proficient in current generation industry-standard tools and workflows, such as Maya and Substance. * You have experience creating assets and environments using photogrammetry in real-time game engines, such as Frostbite or Unreal. * You put passion into everything you do, with excellent skills in communication and team collaboration. * An active contributor to the craft, promoting a transparent and learning culture within the team.
